In order to quickly acquire plenty of subscribers, you definitely want to invite your website’s visitors to subscribe to your botletter. However, if you are not a developer, things can quickly turn into a headache!

Hopefully, you can use some tools in order to implement different call-to-actions to grow your botletter subscriber list.  In this article, I will show you how you can use Sumo tools to quickly grow your number of subscribers. Sumo originally built tools for email newsletter subscriber mass adoption. Those tools are also relevant for your newsletter on Messenger!

1/ Install Sumo on your website

First, sign up to Sumo and enter your website URL. If you use WordPress, Sumo will invite you to install their plugin. Otherwise, just add the javascript snippet they provide and you are ready to go.

Then, connect to your Sumo account and the Sumo menu will appear at the top-right corner of your website’s window.

2/ Set up Sumo List Builder with Botletter

Now, it’s time to configure Sumo with Botletter. Click on “My Tools” and select the “List Builder” in the form section. Then, pick the goal “Add a Call to Action”.

In the “form type” section, pick which kind of call-to-action you want to use. Here are the different available options:

  • Popup: Show a popup box in the middle of your page.
  • Scroll box: Show a popup box that sticks to the bottom of your page.
  • Inline form: Show a form box that is inline with the content of your page.
  • Click trigger popup: Show a popup in the middle of your page that is activated by a link click.
  • Smart bar: Show a bar that sticks to the top of your page.

You can also customize the design according to your taste or use one of their templates (paid feature).

In the “Design” section, click on the button of your template and scroll to the “click action” section. Here, enter the Botletter URL we provide on your dashboard.

When you are happy with your configuration, hit publish and you have a beautiful & efficient way to grow your botletter list on your website!
